What is it?
52 Weeks Later is a project crafted over a full year, curated between 52 collaborators, producing 52 separate outcomes.
Beginning on the 26th September 2016 I will be working with a different collaborator each week to define, develop, and complete a project. Each project will last for exactly one week, with the brief being described on the Monday and the final outcome being presented on the Sunday. Each project will be inherently imbued with the desires, skills, and character of the collaborator and as such will result in 52 uniquely different projects that not only transcend the boundaries between design specialisms but also connect and empower the collaborators in their pursuit of a common, inherently personal goal.

Why do it?
In the words of Bill Nye "Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't."
For me collaboration is one of the most beautiful processes in design. The opportunity to share in and experience another person's passions, desires, and skills is one uniquely encapsulated by the art of collaboration and one that allows the collaborators to achieve a level of thought, action, and outcome that might otherwise have been outside their individual remits.
The 52 people chosen for this project are each uniquely talented, and come from a diverse range of creative and non-creative backgrounds. The focus of this project, for me, is not on the outcomes (exciting and interesting though they may be) it is about the journey. This project offers me the opportunity to continue to share my life with the people who have made the last 3 years of it so rewarding, whilst also offering me the chance to experience the individuality of their thinking and to share in, and learn from, their creative process.
